What’s a SwagBuck Worth?
Swagbucks.com is a website that rewards you for using their site to search, shop, trade in and try new products. You are rewarded in swagbucks that can later be traded in for prizes and gift cards. Swagbucks won’t make you rich, but it’s a fun way to get a product you want for free. Instead of putting your own money aside every month you can use the swagbucks website to accumulate points and then trade them in.
The question I asked myself when I started using Swagbuck is, what is a swagbuck worth? For example, let’s say I have 100 swagbucks. What is that going to get me?
To figure out what a swagbuck is worth I decided to see how many swagbucks it would take to redeem a gift card. I found that there was no exact number. I came up with an average swagbuck to gift card ratio.

Thanks for breaking down the gift card costs. So far I’ve been concentrating on getting the Amazon cards and the $5 cards are the best buy. Swagbucks recently multiplied everything by 10 fold. That includes the cost of the prizes/giftcards and our balances too, so nothing was lost or gained but I guess they just wanted to make us feel wealthier, LOL! So now the $5 Amazon cards can be had for 450 and the $25 cards cost 3150 so you can actually get $35 worth of $5 amazon cards for the price of a $25 card. Swagbucks gets my seal of approval. Since joining in mid December I’ve been able to rack up 15 referrals, donate some SB’s to the Haiti Relief Fund and trade some SB’s for $20 worth of Amazon cards. I should have enough for another Amazon reward in 2-3 days. Thumbs up for Swagbucks!
