The national average for 30-year fixed mortgages is not necessarily the same rate when you will go to get your next mortgage. There are easy ways to find the local mortgage rates in your area.

1. Bankrate.
Once you are at bankrate.com click on mortgage in the top left corner. Next in the middle of the screen you will see small search box.

2. Yahoo Real estate
Good list of local rates. I find Yahoo’s site very easy to use with a great list of lenders. You can also see 6 month trends.

3. Realtor
Realtor.com is powered by Bankrate but I find their interface a little easier to use than Bankrate.
