Save money, buy a PC not a MAC
I hope I haven’t offended all the MAC users out there but let the truth be told – PC’s are cheaper.
I know some may argue that the MACs have a number of benefits that make the price worth paying. I will not agree with that, especially when a majority of computer users are only using their computer to browse the Internet. The game is changing with the release of the new Windows operating system – Windows 7. I’ve been using Windows 7 for a few weeks now and I can’t believe how great it is.
When you go to buy a computer for yourself think about what you need. For 95% of us a laptop that has a dual core processor and 2GB of RAM is plenty. If you are going to store pictures and music then a 80-160GB hard drive will be plenty. Ease of use and battery life are also things to consider.
But since this blog is about money, and needing more of it, let’s talk about the cost benefits. You can go over to DELL and get a brand new laptop for under $500. And if you feel comfortable like I do, you can do a lot better than that buying a new DELL laptop on eBay. Buying last years model is another great way to save. If you haven’t noticed, the latest and greatest technology always charges a premium. It’s a premium that we usually don’t need and there are deals to be had for what was new last year. And it’s not like computers are clothes that may go out of style. No one will know, or care, what kind of computer you are using. If you do care about those kinds of things then you need to reconsider how you spend your money.
Shop around and buy online if you can. The best deals for computers are always online.
